Exploration Service, in collaboration with one of the global leaders in geoscience technologies, Fleet Space Technologies, has successfully carried out innovative active 2D seismic survey operations in the Chu-Sarysu Basin for an international mining company.
During the project, modern wireless seismic receivers — STRYDE Nodes — were deployed, significantly enhancing field mobility and improving the efficiency of survey layout and data acquisition.
A weight-drop source was used to generate seismic waves, serving as an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional explosive sources. This approach enabled seismic operations to be conducted without the use of explosives, minimizing environmental impact while ensuring a high level of industrial safety.
The project was executed in full compliance with international standards for field geophysical operations. The acquired data is of high quality and has successfully met the objectives of the survey, providing valuable geophysical insights for further analysis and interpretation.
This project demonstrates the strong potential for implementing innovative and environmentally responsible seismic technologies in Kazakhstan and highlights Exploration Service’s commitment to applying advanced solutions in support of efficient and sustainable mineral exploration projects.
